About the Opportunity

Join our Regulatory Services business unit as a Coordinator, Prosecutions, and be at the forefront of ensuring the responsible use, development, and protection of our land. Lead a dedicated team committed to upholding justice and making a tangible difference in our community.
You will make an impact by
- Providing direction and leadership to the Prosecutions team.
- Managing all legal proceedings and representing Council in court.
- Making strategic decisions on prosecution and enforcement matters.
- Overseeing the administration of the Infringements Act and managing infringement reviews.
- Negotiating settlements and achieving effective outcomes in legal disputes.
What you will bring
- Current practicing certificate as an Australian Lawyer (or eligible to obtain a practicing certificate).
- Demonstrated experience and record of achievement in prosecutions.
- Advanced knowledge and highly developed skills in the interpretation and application of legislation, administrative law principles and policies, investigation processes and evidence analysis.
- Advanced communication, negotiation, representation and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership skills and the ability to co-ordinate employees in the achievement of targets, delivery of services and provision of advice.
