This is a unique short-term opportunity to make a big impact! Join Cardinia Shire Council as we embark on an exciting phase of digital transformation, including a major website redevelopment and a review of how we manage social media. As our Digital Communications Advisor, you’ll take ownership of this newly restructured role in a forward-thinking, innovative team that’s committed to using digital channels to their full potential. If you’re passionate about creating engaging content and driving online engagement, this is your chance to shine. 

You will make an impact by 

• Leading the management and enhancement of Council’s website and social media platforms. 
• Making a real impact on the redevelopment of our website as we improve user experience and accessibility. 
• Creating and curating high-quality content, including photography and videography, to engage our community. 
• Developing and implementing a strategic content calendar for social media. 
• Using analytics and insights to optimise digital communication and monitor community sentiment. 

What you will bring 

• Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience. 
• Proven experience managing websites and social media platforms for an organisation. 
• Strong photography and videography skills, with the ability to produce engaging multimedia content. 
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with a creative approach to storytelling. 
• Ability to analyse data and apply insights to improve engagement and outcomes. 
• Knowledge of accessibility standards, brand compliance and relevant legislation. 
• Capacity to work independently, exercise sound judgement and adapt to changing priorities.
