About the opportunity
This is a fantastic short‑term opportunity to play a key role in ensuring Council facilities remain safe, clean, sustainable and fully operational for our community. As a Facilities Management Officer, you will be the driving force behind the smooth delivery of cleaning contracts and utilities management, work that directly supports the health, comfort and experience of our staff and residents.

You will make an impact by
- Coordinating and monitoring Council’s cleaning contracts to ensure high‑quality, timely and compliant service delivery.
- Conducting inspections and audits, documenting findings, and supporting follow‑up actions to improve performance.
- Managing operational inboxes and resolving day‑to‑day requests relating to cleaning and utilities.
- Supporting utilities management, including usage monitoring, account updates, and processing invoices or billing matters.
- Contributing to contract administration, financial tasks, record keeping and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience in facilities management, ideally with exposure to cleaning contracts and contractor performance management.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with confidence and clarity.
- High‑level communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
- Sound systems capability, including experience with finance systems and CRM platforms.
- Understanding of compliance, OH&S, risk awareness and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Strong administrative capability with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in facility, asset or construction management (desirable).
