Join the vibrant team at Cardinia Cultural Centre as a Casual Front of House Supervisor. You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient venue operations while providing exceptional customer service.
You will make an impact by
- Supervising the duties of casual ushers.
- Providing customer service at Box Office and by telephone and email.
- Handling cash transactions efficiently.
- Supporting venue operations, including room access, event ushering, and signage placement.
- Overseeing general security, including opening and closing the facility.
- Monitoring events and providing help to clients on an ad hoc base
- Act as a Warden/Chief Warden of the Cultural Centre in the event of an emergency
- Proven experience for overseeing venue operations during your rostered shifts, coordinating staff, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring the venue is safe, welcoming, and operating efficiently.
- You will be comfortable working autonomously, including evenings and weekends, and have the confidence to make informed decisions when required.
- Demonstrated experience in Front of House operations, event delivery, venue operations, function set-up, or a similar customer service environment.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally and positively with patrons, performers, hirers, staff, and stakeholders.
- Experience supervising, guiding, and supporting staff, with a collaborative approach to teamwork and event delivery.
- Strong organisational, administrative, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to complete work accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards of service.
- Experience in cash handling and the operation of cash register/EFTPOS systems.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to learn and use specialist venue management software.
- Understanding of safe manual handling practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
- A reliable, punctual, and flexible work ethic, including the ability to work a rotating roster across early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- A proactive, adaptable, and customer-focused approach, with a commitment to providing a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Current Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Current Driver's Licence (desirable).
