Our success lies in working together, doing things differently and preparing for the future.  We’re looking for people who dream big and want to be part of creating meaningful change in our community.  About the Opportunity The Landscape Development Officer will be responsible for assessing, approving, and monitoring landscape plans and associated works, with a focus on new parkland developments and streetscape planting across Cardinia Shire. You will make an impact byAssessing and providing direction on landscape plans at both masterplan and detailed design levels. Processing, evaluating, and advising on complex landscape planning referrals/applications. Ensuring all landscape matters comply with relevant legislation, Council policy, and required timelines. Incorporating current Council policies into new landscape designs, considering environmental sustainability, health promotion, and community access. Building productive relationships internally and externally to achieve work outcomes. What you will bring  A bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a Diploma in Landscape Design, or equivalent and relevant experience. Proven experience in landscape planning and compliance, reserve planning, or an allied discipline. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing landscape master plans and detailed design plans. Understanding of the role of landscaping in the planning permit assessment process. Ability to prioritise workload demands and manage competing objectives effectively. Strong attention to detail in landscape plans and the ability to see the larger context. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ready to make a difference in Cardinia Shire?
