About the Opportunity
Help shape the future of our parks and open spaces by contributing to projects that promote community health and wellbeing and create wonderful, enjoyable, and sustainable places for everyone to connect, play, and relax. In this role, you’ll manage a diverse range of projects—from playgrounds, outdoor exercise areas and other amenities within the passive reserves while engaging with the community to ensure spaces reflect local needs. You’ll work in a small, collaborative team where your expertise and autonomy are valued, and you’ll be supported and mentored to deliver projects that make a real difference.
You Will Make an Impact By
- Leading community engagement to ensure projects reflect local needs and aspirations.
- Identifying funding opportunities, preparing grant submissions, and managing agreements.
- Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Contribute to masterplans, strategies, and policies for passive reserves and open space assets.
What You Will Bring
- Demonstrated experience in local government or similar environment.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, including planning, and consultation.
- Strong skills in community engagement and stakeholder collaboration.
- Knowledge of open space planning principles, standards, and guidelines.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a small, supportive team.
