This is a new position, offering a fantastic opportunity to grow with the council. You will make an impact by Conducting regular inspections of playground equipment and surrounding areas to identify hazards and recommend repairs or replacements. Monitoring, assessing, and remediating the condition and compliance of attenuated surfaces. Delivering detailed playspace assessments and structured maintenance programs. Ensuring all prescribed work is completed to a high standard, within time and budget constraints. Communicating inspection findings and recommended actions to internal and external stakeholders Initiating and completing playground repair and replacement tasks when issues are identified or making areas safe until works are programmed What you will bring Knowledge of Australian Playground Safety Standards and best maintenance practices. Experience in conducting Level 1 Visual inspections and Level 2 Operational inspections. Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders about playground safety. Ability to identify risks and technical problems and promptly resolve them.
