You will make an impact by
- Leading the planning, design, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects including roads, drainage, and bridges.
- Managing capital works from concept to completion, ensuring quality, budget, and timelines are met.
- Collaborating with internal teams, residents, and external stakeholders to deliver community-focused outcomes.
- Solving complex engineering challenges with creativity and sound judgement.
- Driving innovation and continuous improvement across our infrastructure portfolio.
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in civil project management, ideally within local government or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of construction standards, regulations, and contract administration.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with stakeholders and the community.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions with minimal supervision.
- A current Victorian driver’s licence.
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering high-quality public infrastructure.
Council supports engineers on their journey to Professional Engineering Registration by funding registration and renewal fees, and providing access to learning and development opportunities.
