About the Opportunity
Are you ready to lead meaningful change in early childhood services across a growing municipality? This 12-month opportunity has become available as the current incumbent has stepped into a secondment within Council—creating a unique chance for a passionate leader to step into a career-defining role. Starting in the new year, this is the perfect time to take on a fresh challenge, lead strategic service planning, and build strong networks while making a lasting impact on children and families across Cardinia Shire.
You will make an impact by
- Leading service planning and operational oversight of early years facilities and programs.
- Driving continuous improvement in booking systems, fee frameworks, and customer service.
- Coordinating grant applications, reporting, and acquittals to support strategic initiatives.
- Building strong relationships with the Department of Education and key stakeholders.
- Supervising and mentoring staff to deliver high-quality, community-focused services.
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- In-depth knowledge of early childhood education regulations, frameworks, and policy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead, negotiate, and problem-solve.
- Experience managing change and engaging with diverse communities.
- Proven ability to recommend and implement business process improvements.
- Understanding of the challenges and opportunities in growth municipalities.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex projects and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
