About the Opportunity
Join our Operations team to lead and coordinate high-quality landscape projects and open space maintenance, ensuring exceptional outcomes in line with Council’s strategies and policies. This newly created role offers the chance to work on diverse projects that enhance community spaces and contribute to the overall wellbeing of our residents.
You will make an impact by
- Coordinating the management and delivery of programmed works and capital projects.
- Providing leadership and support to Park and Turf Surveillance Officers and Park Maintenance Officers.
- Building and maintaining relationships across all business units for continuous improvement.
- Offering specialist and technical advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing contracts for open space mowing and horticultural maintenance services.
What you will bring
- Extensive experience in open space mowing, horticultural methods, and sports turf maintenance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with staff, the public, and community groups.
- Proven project and contractor management experience.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, contract management, and budgeting.
- A degree in Horticultural Science/Natural Resource Management or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team.
- A current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
