Supporting the development of our next Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy Supporting the rollout of new waste services, including the introduction of a glass bin. Driving community awareness and behaviour change around waste minimisation and resource recovery. Collaborating with educators and technical experts to bring waste messages to life at events and activations. Creating compelling content for flyers, social media, and other channels to inform and inspire residents. What you will bringProven experience in communications and/or community engagement, ideally within local government. Strong copywriting skills and the ability to tailor messages across diverse platforms. Knowledge of IAP2 principles and community engagement under the Local Government Act. A passion for sustainability and understanding of waste services and environmental initiatives. Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities with creativity and innovation. Experience in face-to-face engagement and event coordination. Understanding of behaviour change theory (desirable).
