As the Asset Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date asset information. In this multifaceted position, you will be responsible for various key tasks, including capitalization, depreciation, disposal, revaluation, impairment, verifications, and reconciliations of the Asset Register with the General Ledger. Your expertise in these areas will ensure the integrity and accuracy of our financial asset records. Additionally, as the Asset Accountant, you will oversee the system interfaces between relevant projects and the Asset Register. This involves ensuring seamless integration and data flow, enabling effective tracking and management of assets throughout their lifecycle. About you As our ideal candidate, you possess a track record of success in infrastructure financial management, enabling you to contribute to the effective management of our assets valued in the billions. Your expertise will support our asset team’s effort in maintaining and optimising these valuable resources.  You will hold appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience and full membership of a recognised professional accounting body. You will be an outside the box thinker who is great at interacting with various internal and external stakeholders.
