Hybrid work modelFull Time Maximum Term (22 June 2022)Band 6 (salary from $83k plus super)About the roleAs a Communications Advisor within Council’s Communications and Engagement Team, you will provide high-level internal and external communications strategy and delivery of council’s communications across a number of portfolios.Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Develop and implement communications campaigns, both internal and external.Develop and implement a Communications and Engagement Strategy and Action Plan for council’s ongoing COVID-19-related activities.Provide regular briefings to stakeholders as required, including meeting any funding reporting requirements.Attend relevant internal and external meetings.Maintain positive links with all stakeholders in managing communications and engagement activities.Plan and deliver end-to-end communications activities including but not limited to media, social media, digital communications, web, and internal communications.  Ensure the provision of all services with a focus on customer service and industry best practice.About youTo be successful in this role you will have a comprehensive understanding of local government’s role in communications, community engagement, and issues and stakeholder management.You will be able to demonstrate:Previous experience in a similar position including experience in communications issues managementDegree in Communications or relevant qualificationExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to deal effectively and diplomatically with all internal and external clients/customers,Initiative, a ‘can do’ approach to producing outcomes and the ability to manage competing work priorities and projects within strict time framesDemonstrated experience delivering strategic communications campaigns and media relations About us Cardinia Shire Council is a dynamic and progressive organisation.
