Advise on community engagement activitiesDiverse range of projects, vibrant, growing communityPart time opportunity (0.6 FTE), open to both permanent and max term option up until 30 June 2022Band 6 (83k-85k +10% super (Pro Rata)About the roleWe’re seeking a community engagement professional to provide engagement expertise to internal teams and plan and guide engagement projects for our community.Create and implement innovative, coordinated engagement plans to communicate, consult and engage with stakeholders and meet legislative and policy obligations. Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide community engagement expertise to project officersCreate and implement engagement plansMaintain and update toolkits, and guidelines and templatesSupport our Team Leader EngagementOccasional facilitation of community engagement activitiesYou will provide advice, develop plans, and support the implementation of engagement and consultation to encourage and maximize community participation. You will have demonstrated experience in developing engagement plans, consulting and working with a range of  teams, and conducting research and collating data.  About youTo be successful in this role you will have the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of Council officers from various professional disciplines and representatives of various government and community agencies.  Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate field, such as community engagement, social sciences, community development, communications, or public relations IAP2 certification highly regardedRelevant experience in local government preferred Ability to provide specialist engagement advice Initiative, a ‘can do’ approach to producing outcomes and the ability to manage competing work priorities and projects within strict timeframes. Ability to work in and contribute to a positive small team environment.  About us Cardinia Shire Council is a dynamic and progressive organisation.
