Infringement Oversight Officer

Immediate start, up until June 2022, hybrid work model$83,968 plus superCollaborative and supportive teamOversee various functions arising from the Infringements Act 2006 and Fines Reform Act 2017This is a great opportunity to join our Regulatory Services business unit as an Infringement Oversight officer. This role will play an integral role in conducting infringement reviews of infringements issued by Cardinia Shire Council        regulatory OfficersReporting to the Co-ordinator Prosecutions, your duties will include but not limited to the following. Conduct Internal reviews in accordance with the Infringements Act 2006, and any applicable directions of the Director, Fines Victoria.Consider payment plan applications in accordance with the Infringements ActData entry to record the outcomes of infringement reviews and prosecutions matters.Manage the processes associated with the exchange of data with VicRoads, including audits of the Information Protection Agreement requirementsManage all processes associated with enforcement of fines through Fines Victoria.Implementing, reviewing and improving software used by Council that supports various infringement and enforcement functions, and to be the primary contact for software issues. About You You will be organised, have a high level of diplomacy and tact to be able to negotiate with various stakeholders where required. You enjoy the complexities working in the regulatory space and have appropriate relevant experience in infringement enforcement process and practice.Relevant qualification, legal administrative experience or extensive experience in infringement enforcement process and practiceDemonstrated familiarity with Local Government enforcement functions, or experience in prosecutionsDemonstrated understanding of the Cardinia Shire Council Compliance and Enforcement Policies and procedures, and the ability to make and justify enforcement decisions accordingly.About usCardinia Shire Council is a dynamic and progressive organisation.
