Hybrid work model, Officer locationBand 8, $112k -133k+ super (depending on experience)Full time + monthly ADOGreat organisational culture and benefits with flexible working arrangementsMajor subdivisions and developments in the Urban Growth corridorAbout the roleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our ever-growing shire. As a Lead Principal Growth Area Planner, you will be instrumental to the implementation of Cardinia's Urban growth corridor including the  Pakenham East Precinct Structure Plan. Reporting to the Coordinator Growth Area Planning & Subdivisions, your key responsibilities will include but not limited to: Provide leadership and guidance to Statutory Growth Area PlannersProcess a variety of planning permit applications for subdivision and development within Urban Growth areas. Prepare and present submissions to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal in relation to applications for the review of a decision. Facilitate the implementation of Precinct Structure Plans, Development Contributions Plans, Infrastructure Contribution Plans and Urban Design Frameworks within Urban Growth AreasAbout youTo be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of statutory planning including planning related legislation. You will have the ability to lead and impart knowledge onto others. Your highly developed research, investigative and analytical skills will enable you to make a valuable contribution when preparing reports and making recommendations. You will also meet the following criteria. A tertiary qualification in planning or a related discipline. Experience in statutory planning and some understanding and knowledge of assessing planning applications relating to Precinct Structure Plans. A sound knowledge and understanding of statutory planning processes including planning related legislation. About usCardinia Shire Council is a dynamic and progressive organisation.
