Maximum term - 12 months, full-timeBand 6 (salary $83,986 plus 10% super), with monthly ADOHybrid work modelAbout the role:This is a an exciting opportunity for a Leisure Facilities Officer to work with Council partners, sport and recreation organisations to provide quality aquatic and recreation programs, services, events and facilities to meet the community needs of Cardinia residents and Council’s overall aims and objectives.Importantly, you will be undertaking this role within a supportive and collaborative team environment where your passion for achieving outcomes, business improvements and personal development is encouraged.Key responsibilities:The key responsibilities will allow you to play an integral role in the effective maintenance and management of Council’s aquatic and recreation facilities.These include:Ensure the effective management of agreements for aquatic and recreation facilities, including the preparation of agreement documentation and tender specifications.Co-ordination of maintenance and capital works to achieve Council’s overall aims and objectives for these facilities.Undertake audits and liaise with relevant Council departments to ensure facilities are maintained to a high standard and required maintenance programs are undertaken and that the appropriate risk management principles and practices are implemented at each facility.About you:The successful candidate will have experience, knowledge and understanding of aquatic and recreation facility development, operations and financial performance. You understand recreation and leisure demands, issues and needs of a diverse, changing and growing community.To be successful in this role, you will have the following:A tertiary qualification in recreation, community development or a related discipline is highly regarded.Experience in aquatic and recreation facility agreements in a leisure, sporting and recreation setting.Experience in budget management.Excellent risk management experience, particularly relating to aquatic and indoor recreation facilitiesAbout us:Cardinia Shire Council is a dynamic and progressive organisation.
