Your role will involve providing strategic guidance to ensure corporate and business unit objectives are met, while fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and excellence. From spearheading Growth Area Planning to overseeing Statutory Planning and Urban Design initiatives, you will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable development and enhancing the liveability of our region. Your responsibilities extend beyond traditional managerial duties, you will be instrumental in crafting great living environments for our residents, managing budgets effectively, and communicating with stakeholders to align our efforts with the evolving needs of our growing municipality. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, representing the Council at strategic forums and contributing to the long-term vision of our community. About You We are seeking an exceptional leader with proven experience in urban planning and team management. To excel in this role, you should possess strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, able to navigate complex issues with stakeholders including developers and consultants. Your ability to provide strategic direction, mentorship, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration will be critical.
