About the role
Join our dedicated team as a Maternal and Child Health Nurse (Enhanced) and make a significant impact in supporting vulnerable families and promoting child health, safety, and development within our community-focused service.
You will make an impact by
- Providing child-centred, family-focused outreach services to vulnerable families.
- Delivering an Enhanced Maternal and Child Health program within established guidelines.
- Offering intensive support for families experiencing vulnerabilities and early parenting challenges.
- Monitoring and promoting the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children aged 0-3 years.
- Collaborating with families to set goals and implement action plans for improved outcomes.
- Offering professional counselling and referrals for a range of family-related issues.
What you will bring
- Current AHPRA Registration as Division 1 Nurse and Midwife.
- Post Graduate Qualifications in Child & Family Health recognized in Victoria.
- Experience in Maternal & Child Health nursing, particularly with vulnerable populations.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills, fostering effective relationships with families and stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of child behaviour, development, and family dynamics, including diversity considerations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and align with Council's values of Teamwork, Respect, Accountability, and Communication & Customer Focus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and adhere to professional guidelines and policies.
