Full-time, 12-month positionBand 5, $69,397 + 10% super with monthly ADOHybrid work model (flexible work arrangements)Supportive and encouraging team environmentAbout the roleWe’re seeking an enthusiastic Planning Support Officer to contribute to the effective and efficient management of the use, development and protection of land in Cardinia Shire.  As a Planning Support Officer, you will have an important role in providing administrative and customer service support to the Statutory Planning team, as well as managing a caseload of planning applications, such as VicSmart permit applications.The key responsibilities of the role will contribute to the delivery of high-quality planning services. These responsibilities include:Assisting with administrative activities associated with the operation of the Statutory Planning team.Processing VicSmart permit applications, minor amendments to permits, approval of plans and the extension of planning permits.Providing information and advice in response to telephone and counter enquiries on planning matters.Preparing responses to written enquiries on planning matters.About youThe successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and organised individual who enjoys customer service and administration and has knowledge of the statutory planning process.
