Full Time with monthly ADOBand starting 71k + superFlexible working arrangements with on site visitsAbout the role The role of Surveillance Officer – Civil and Landscape will work closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate standards are achieved in civil construction and landscape works within Cardinia Shire Council. The role will be responsible for conducting standard inspections on both council road networks and private developments, as well as future developments within the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) and the Major Roads Projects Victoria (MRPV) to the Engineering Design & Construction Manual (EDCM) and Council Standards. About you This role would suit someone that enjoys being outdoors and on site working with contractors to ensure that the best results are achieved throughout Cardinia Shire Council. The successful individual will be willing to learn, work well within a team and ensure they maintain a teachable attitude. Well developed communication, interpersonal skills and computer skills are a must, with expertise in the MS Office Suite. Experience working in either the civil construction or landscape construction industries would be highly favourable and knowledge of some of the standard methodologies within either of these industries is required. The ability to maintain good relationships with all stakeholders, as well as the ability to deal with issues of non-compliance, complaints and general enquiries will be required. Because of the nature of the role on site, the incumbent will need good time management skills and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. A current drivers licence is essential.
