About the opportunity Join our Community Infrastructure Delivery business unit as a Traffic Engineer and play a crucial role in enhancing local traffic management and improving community safety. This is your chance to make a tangible impact on the infrastructure in our community. You will make an impact by Assisting in project coordination for the planning, design, and construction of civil works associated with Local (Area) Traffic Management improvements. Collaborating with consultants, contractors, other Council teams, and external authorities to deliver quality Local Traffic Improvements. Managing the delivery of designated capital works programs, including investigation, planning, and project management. Conducting investigations and recommending/preparing design solutions for internal and external customer inquiries. Engaging with Service Authorities and local communities/residents regarding the design and location of traffic treatments What you will bring A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Experience in traffic engineering, road safety, or a similar area. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement. Proficiency in using engineering software and tools.
