About the opportunity Join us as a Youth Services Officer, where you’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young people in our community. You will make an impact by Developing, delivering, and evaluating a range of engaging programs, events, projects, and services that meet the current and future needs of young people across the Cardinia Shire. Working directly with young people to assess their individual needs, develop goals, and support them to access appropriate activities, programs, and specialist support services. Engaging young people through conversation and/or activities when rostered at Council’s Youth Facility. Contributing to the implementation of the Youth Services Business Plan What you will bring Tertiary qualification in youth work, social work, psychology, or relevant discipline. Proven experience in working with young people and program design. Knowledge of contemporary youth issues and local/regional networks. Effective communication, conflict management, and networking skills. Ability to manage time, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines. Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and quality service delivery. Some weekend and after-hours work may be required. This role is more than just a job.
